Raise Your Hands - A Tribute to Bon Jovi Worcester reviews
less than what I had expected...
The band, with the exception of the bassist, is pretty much all new, and I think Amy Lee. For such a large turnout and a big name band, they had it at a crappy venue. Performance was sub par. Located in a bad section of town, in a worn down building, the band was significantly late in the arrival to the stage because no one could figure out how to set up the bass. They also played about 80% of the songs from their new album which had only come out about a week or so prior to the performance, so nobody really knew all the songs. Just the basics, instruments and a few strobes. Unlike most of the concerts I've attended, there was no interaction with the audience. After about 4 total hours at the venue, my feet were throbbing, even though I was nearly touching the stage, the Palladium is standing room only. The band also only played for about an hour, which really wasn't worth the money in my opinion since that's about how long the openers played for. I was soooooo looking forward to this concert, I have wanted to see them for years, they still are one of my favorite bands, but I was sadly let down by this performance. Maybe if the tickets are cheaper and at a different venue, I'll try them again, but until then, just listen to the album or VEVO them.
